I began my career in the HVAC field and opened my own business at age 26 in Pittsburgh, PA. I relocated to Richmond with my wife of 34 years in 1990 where I operated a mechanical engineering company consulting to major retailers in the US, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
Always interested in the construction field, I obtained a Class “A” license in 1991 and began Savoy Properties as a historic restoration specialist. I am also LEAD certified.
In 2004 Savoy Properties was awarded the prestigious Golden Hammer Award by A.C.O.R.N (Alliance To Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods) for the best residential restoration in the city. Savoy has been nominated each year since and came in second place twice. Savoy Properties has also received special recognition for the best commercial historic restoration on a large scale from the Better Housing Coalition in 2013. We have been featured in the Real Estate section of the Richmond Times Dispatch several times for historic restoration and Style Weekly Magazine.
In 2010, Savoy expanded our shop to provide historic craftsmanship including woodworking, custom cabinets, doors, windows and moldings to our clients. Savoy provides all our own painting and detailed carpentry using our own experienced, professional crews, any other related tradesman are licensed and insured.

We service the Richmond Metropolitan area including historic Richmond, Chesterfield County, Midlothian, Nottoway County, Amelia County, and Henrico Counties.
